Bilingual Administration Assistant
Velos Insurance Services, a City based independent marine underwriting agent, provide cover in all areas of marine insurance. They have a growing book of European business, together with a large book of UK risks.
Having previously worked predominantly through other brokers in Scandinavia in recent years, Velos is now concentrating on expanding its direct business from this region.
Velos are now looking to recruit for a new & rewarding role, which has the potential for excellent career progression.
To assist with the day-to-day management of direct clients, developing Scandinavian business and specifically Danish business.
To undertake general administrative duties in support of the Underwriting team, including putting together files, filing, scanning and issuing quotes and policy documents.
You will be reliable & articulate and most importantly, fluent in both Danish & English.
You will have a logical mind and an excellent telephone manner. The role would be ideally suited to someone with previous admin/sales experience; knowledge of the insurance industry would be preferable. Ability to also speak other Scandinavian languages would also be an advantage.
- Taking enquiries over the phone, in-putting in to system & passing anything the system won’t quote on to the underwriters.
- Following up quotations to conclusion, keeping relevant notes.
- Advising on products & services and highlighting the benefit they can bring.
- Providing regular feedback to management.
- General administration and filing.
- Bilingual – fluent in both Danish & English
